Gifted
& Talented Programs
Special
programs occur on consecutive Saturdays and during the summer. Explore
topics ranging from mathematics to computer science to architechture.
Programs range from 15 to 48 hours. Please note that these programs are for students who have been identified as gifted by their school divisions.
Topics
in Math, Grades 4-5
Explore
fun math topics on five Saturday mornings in the fall or spring. Play
with geometry! Solve math puzzles! Learn about Fibonacci, Pascal, Napier,
Euler and other famous mathematicians! Apply your knowledge of math to
solve real-world problems.

Governor's School for Middle School Youth
Choose from a variety of course offerings and explore the exciting worlds
of math, science, and computer technology. All classes meet for two
weeks
in July at the MathScience Innovation Center or a community location. The Virginia Department of Education
and the Center support this special

talented students currently in grades 6, 7, and 8.
